Today we had Jasmine Blackborrow, who has experienced working in the real media world come talk to us and give us tips about our music video. Here are a few of the most important, useful tips she gave us:
- Firstly, you should always have more than one idea. Whether it is for the treatment, location or even actors. Something may come up such as the someone not liking your idea or one of the actors may not be able to be make it. If you have a back up you would not waste any time or panick about what to do.
- Referencing from other music videos. Try watching as many music videos as you can and take into account ideas that you especially like and can use in your own music video.
- Make a storyboard - This is crucial as it allows other members of the group to visualise your idea exactly how you want it to be.
- Write out shots you want for every verse and plan ahead. Or the day will come, and you will have no idea what to shoot on particular lines.
